One byproduct of the ignoring of student responsibility
for their own academic work, which I have written about
six or seven times, is that the variance in student effort,
and the differences between one class and another, and 
in classes from year to year, are LEFT OUT of plans and
schemes to evaluate the work of teachers...Someone
important might be willing to take note of that...
