 ODE-Sponsored Regional Meetings for Teachers on the New Learning Standards
Lesson/Unit Development and Evaluation


Regional meetings will take place between April 12 through May 16 in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Youngstown, Athens and Findlay.  
 
During the 4:00-6:30 p.m. meetings, teachers will receive updates on the Ohio’s New Learning Standards and Next Generation Assessments, and participate in hands-on sessions on lesson/unit development and review. ODE staff will introduce quality review rubrics aligned to the New Learning standards. The quality review rubrics were designed to be used by teachers to develop and evaluate lessons and units. All teachers of English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies are encouraged to attend. The sessions and the rubrics will be subject-specific. The sessions were scheduled for the afternoon to accommodate teachers’ schedules.  
 
Register now in STARS. All sessions are free, but seating is limited.
