OAGC January News Flash: Advocacy, Teacher Academy, & More
Professional Development
Teacher Academy Registration Is Now Open
The OAGC Teacher 2013 Spring Teacher Academy will be held on March 18 and 19,
2013 at the Columbus Doubletree in Worthington. Registration forms are now
available on the OAGC website at [1]http://www.oagc.com?q=TeacherAcademy. A
tentative list of speakers and sessions will be posted at the same link by
February 1, 2013.
Fall Conference Call for Proposal Now Available
The OAGC Fall Conference call for proposal is now available at the following
link along with nomination forms for the art auction and general awards.
[2]http://www.oagc.com/?q=fallconference . Proposals are due March 31, 2013. The
fall conference will be held on September 22 - 24, 2013, which is a few weeks
earlier than normal so please mark your calendar.

Gifted Accountability Changes and Biennial Budget Information
HB 555, the bill that overhauls education accountability, was signed into law
this past week. There are many changes to gifted accountability. For a look at
the current provisions in the bill, please go to the OAGC Advocacy Alerts page

about the upcoming biennial budget and legislative directories.
