I've recently discovered Diana Senechal (http://www.dianasenechal.com/) a forward-thinking academic and educator in New York, and she has an intriguing-looking book, published this year, Republic of Noise: The Loss of Solitude in Schools and Culture.
?
Has anyone on the list read the book? My thinking is that solitude and quiet?broadly benefit learning, of course, and gifted learning more specifically.
