Postdoctoral researcher – Disease Ecology / White-Nose Syndrome research

Position description:
A postdoctoral research position is available through the Sewall Lab in the Department of Biology at Temple University, a large public research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The research will focus on understanding the invasive disease of bats known as white-nose syndrome, quantifying its effects on bat species, and evaluating the effectiveness of potential management approaches. The postdoctoral researcher will primarily assist with statistical analysis of existing datasets for ongoing studies examining the ecology and conservation biology of species affected by this wildlife disease. The researcher will also participate in field and lab studies, as needed. This position will involve close engagement with state biologists and wildlife managers. Opportunities are also available for student mentoring. Additional information on the Sewall Lab can be found at https://sites.temple.edu/bjsewall<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https*3A*2F*2Fsites.temple.edu*2Fbjsewall&data=04*7C01*7Ctccarter*40bsu.edu*7Cb4a80abf120e463dae1208d8d06ee325*7C6fff909f07dc40da9e30fd7549c0f494*7C0*7C0*7C637488521985150563*7CUnknown*7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0*3D*7C3000&sdata=XmYyX5IZaGNQzHAv6bBVlAl8JBcswjDtAM2Zlw3sR*2BI*3D&reserved=0__;JSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSUlJSUl!!KGKeukY!kRloOTlyFXmigAoVNMujcnPwS1VsYCYTo97qf8_uMCI1HzI2Kajva8kaU0ncauvHtJc$> .
