We invite you to join us for the 13th Midwest Bat Working Group Annual Meeting on April 8, 2021. This virtual meeting will bring together biologists, private and public land managers, private consultation organizations, educational institutions, and citizen scientists from across the Midwest.

Time and Location

MWBWG will host the virtual meeting using both Gather.town and Zoom virtual meeting platforms. A link to connect will be shared with registered participants prior to April 8th.

The meeting will be held on April 8, 2021 from 1pm – 4:30pm EST (12pm – 3:30pm CST).

Program Overview

The virtual meeting will include live, virtual poster sessions, virtual networking and social spaces, and the MWBWG business meeting.

Welcome: 1:00 - 1:15pm EST (12:00 - 12:15pm CST)

Poster Session #1: 1:15 - 2:30pm EST (12:15 - 1:30pm CST)

Poster Session #2: 2:30 - 3:45pm EST (1:30 - 2:45pm CST)

Business Meeting/Awards/Close: 3:45 - 4:30pm EST (2:45 - 3:30pm CST)

Registration and Membership

Meeting registration will be open until April 7th - early registration is encouraged.

This year your meeting registration will be free with your 2021 new or renewed MWBWG membership! A meeting registration code will be sent to you once your membership dues are processed. You can then use this code to complete your registration for the annual meeting.

For those that have already renewed or become members for 2021, THANK YOU! Watch for an email to show up soon that will contain your unique registration code.

For those that want to attend the virtual meeting but do not want to become a member or renew, registration options for non-members are also available.

Call for Abstracts

ALL ABSTRACTS WILL BE FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS LIVE AT THE VIRTUAL MEETING. We highly encourage professionals, students and researchers to submit abstracts for live, virtual poster presentations and be available to present at the upcoming virtual meeting.

The deadline for abstract submission is Monday, March 1, 2021 at 5pm EST (4pm CST).
