Two master’s-level research assistantships are available beginning in the Spring 2019 semester for a funded project. The project will primarily involve bat surveys via acoustic methods at numerous Air Force installations across the country. Research from the projects will support thesis research. Research areas are somewhat open but may involve the relationship between latitude, elevation, and climactic variables on bat activity. Seasonal variability in bat activity and resource availability could be another focal area, or other topics suitable for graduate-level research and able to be addressed with the data collected.
