USFWS currently has funding opportunities available. The tight timelines in these grants is due to our new administration, late signing of the Federal budget, and rules for grants by our Department of the Interior.

(1) White-nose Syndrome Research Grants--FY 18: Due date September 30, 2018.

  * This is our "large grant" or sometimes referred to as our "Open RFP" program that opens annually, with approximately $1.5 million in funding available.
  * This year we've structured this grant a bit differently to encourage researchers to submit the best, most collaborative research, allowing a longer delivery time for proposals to be submitted, and review of these proposals occurring monthly, if necessary.
  *   Individual awards from $35,000-$300,000
  * Deadline for applications: Sep 30, 2018 Proposals will be evaluated as frequently as monthly - see application review information for additional details
  *   Eligible applicants:

     * Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
For profit organizations other than small businesses
Small businesses
Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
City or township governments
Private institutions of higher education
Individuals
County governments
Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
