The Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Wildlife Survey Technician to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Wildlife Survey Technician will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of a variety of research studies throughout Ohio related to the conservation and recovery of wildlife. The technician assists and coordinates with the Division of Wildlife, Wildlife Management Section and will report to Dr. Gibbs with the Ohio State University and be employed through Ohio State University's Ohio Biodiversity Conservation Partnership. Duties will include: coordinating statewide bat acoustic research studies; assist with surveys of select caves for endemic biota and bat hibernacula; assist with statewide monarch monitoring initiatives; wildlife outreach activities; and database maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
