Have curious bat call files that don’t fit any key and need a second opinion? Or maybe you have a few recordings you are particularly proud of? Ever wonder what's all the fuzzy dots and lines in your recordings? Joe & Chris will be reviewing real files from real users, not cherry-picked demonstration files. This is your chance to get real answers on real files!

Watch the spectacle as the biologist-developer behind SonoBat full spectrum crashes headfirst into the undisputed inventor of zero cross! By the end of the night who will be schooled, which technology will prove best to use, and where do the auto classifiers weigh in?
Almost 75 years of bat call ID, acoustic monitoring, software development, and training workshops across the US will come together as Chris Corben and Joe Szewczak simultaneously review unknown call files collected and submitted by audiance participants. The session will focus on manually recognizing species, good recordings, bad recordings, equipment problems, insects, birds, and other non-bat noise. Although not presented as software tutorial, participants will likely pick up tips and tricks of analysis.
