Lochmueller Group Bat Ecologist Position



Title: Bat Ecologist



Location: Evansville, Indiana



Job Description:



Primary responsibilities of this position include mist netting, acoustic sampling, and radio-tracking of bats. Such a person needs to have a Federal Fish and Wildlife permit for studying the Indiana bat and gray bat. He/she is also expected to conduct field studies and documentation on wetland and stream delineations and assessments; conduct field studies on plants, animals and other terrestrial and aquatic habitats; and be involved in wetland/stream mitigation, monitoring and permitting.


Required Qualifications:

The person must have a BS/MS in Environmental Science, Biology, or other related Natural Science and 5-10 years of experience in Bat Ecological Surveys, Environmental Resource Management or related fields.
