Good Morning!

The WNS outreach group developed and funded bat educational trunks (see
email below). Here is a list of where the trunks are housed and from whom
you can get one, http://batslive.pwnet.org/edubat/trunk.php.

Hello, all. The White-Nose Syndrome Communications and Outreach Working
Group is pleased to announce that nine Edubat trunks are now available for
use by educators both within and outside of the Service. Project Edubat is
a newly launched educational program about bats designed to excite and
inspire kids of all ages.

Wildlife biologist Cindy Sandeno of the U.S. Forest Service led this
effort, which was funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with a
white-nose syndrome federal capacity-building grant.

One trunk is available in each FWS region and a nationally-available trunk
is at NCTC. If you want to borrow a trunk, you may have to pay for
shipping. Attached are the FWS locations for the trunks and a press
release we issued today. For photos, visit the Edubat album on our
white-nose syndrome Facebook page http://on.fb.me/1FUCyL2at

Fore more information about Project Edubat, visit
http://batslive.pwnet.org/edubat/

Hoping you can use one of these trunks at an event in the future! They
offer a great, hands-on way for people to learn about bats and the
challenges they face, especially white-nose syndrome.

Feel free to contact Cindy (contact info in attachment) or me if you have
questions.
