Subject: Announcement for Bat Tech Position (IN)

Bat Field Technician Position:
Indiana State University is seeking three field technicians to assist with research involving the federally endangered Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis) and the northern long-eared bat (Myotis septentrionalis, proposed federal listing). This research will occur in south-central Indiana, near the town of Bloomfield. Duties will include mist-netting, radio telemetry, and emergence counts.
Technicians are needed from May 15 to August 15 and can expect to work long shifts including late nights (up till 4 am). The technician will work closely with an experienced bat biologist to gain familiarity with survey techniques for the study of bats.
