Location:         Louisville, Kentucky

Redwing Ecological Services, Inc. has two Staff Biologist and/or Bat Biologist positions available.  These positions require a B.S. in Biology, Environmental Science or related natural resource field.  These positions require applicants to possess a state of Kentucky and federal collection permit for threatened or endangered species - Indiana bat and gray bat to assist with our growing serviceline.  Previous radio-telemetry experience is preferred but not required.  Practical experience in threatened/endangered species surveys, specifically Indiana bat and gray bat; terrestrial/aquatic habitat surveys; plant identification; wetland delineation; stream assessment; and/or regulatory coordination/permitting would be beneficial.  Applicants must have good technical writing and communication skills as well as being well versed in computer applications.  The successful applicants must be willing to travel extensively during the bat season with night hours required.  Travel is periodic the remainder of the year.  Travel expenses are provided by Redwing as part of these positions.
