<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Our office, the Johns Hopkins Center for Social Concern (community engagement center) is now recruiting for an AmeriCorps VISTA member offered to us through the Maryland-DC Campus Compact (MDCCC). The MDCCC
AmeriCorps VISTA member will develop and implement the Waverly Main Street Community Resource Connections Project, which will serve local community members and current and prospective business owners in the Waverly Main Street District in North Baltimore City.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">The MDCCC AmeriCorps VISTA member will work with local residents to create a steering committee to determine what resources are needed and available and how best to engage job-seekers and business owners.
The MDCCC AmeriCorps VISTA member will coordinate resources, including financial literacy programs, funding opportunities, business plan development and job training programs, to help create a more stable commercial corridor which supports the surrounding
communities.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I am reaching out to offices and departments at institutions that may already engage students in community volunteer activities around wealth building and economic development to see if you could please share the announcement with any students
