[Natfinwellness] Natfinwellness Digest, Vol 33, Issue 2

Hello,

I'm from Western Washington University and we did a spin on the cash cab show for one of our events in April.    We had an electric car that held four people and we decorated it like a cab with pink and black checkers.  We put lights on the inside so they would blink when they entered the cab.  We would then ask them questions based on financial topics.  They would earn a FLI dollar for every question they answered correctly but if they missed two questions the ride would be over and they would not receive the money they accumulated.  If they reached their destination without missing two questions, we would give them the money.   We called it the Pig Rig and we drove it from one end of campus to another.  The students really liked it and we handed out 150 Fli dollars.  The name of our program is  (FLi)  Financial Literacy Intelligence and we have a pig as our mascot and the FLi dollars could be used at the bookstore and eateries on campus.  We also give them our contact information and a brief description of our program.

We would like to do it more but the vehicle is used for other things on campus too.
