Good morning Robin:

One of my coworkers attended the MASFAA regional conference last week, and
Jeff Baker said at that time they had chosen to extend the deadline and
were still accepting applications. I presume this means they either did not
receive a sufficient number of applications or not a large enough number
that were high quality by the original deadline… but perhaps someone knows
different. Hope this helps!

Dear Bryan,

I see from the notice that the deadline was September 29.  Did they not
receive enough interest?  It says that letters of interest received after
September 29 may be considered, but was just checking to see if it was
worth submitting at this late date.

I hope that everyone is enjoying the semester!  The US Department of
Education is still seeking applicants for their Experimental Site program
that is targeted at enhancing student loan counseling programs.  This is a
great opportunity to be at the forefront of reform in the loan counseling
space and they are still accepting schools for a limited time.
