Financial firms today invest in many strategies to help consumers improve their financial lives, but how can we tell whether these efforts are successful? In January 2015, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) released a first-of-its kind study that provides a conceptual framework for defining and measuring success in financial education.

Join us on April 8th for a live discussion with senior leaders from the CFPB’s Office of Financial Education to learn about this conceptual framework and new research that uncovers when and how young people develop knowledge, skills, and habits that support financial well-being later in life.

The panel will discuss:

  *   The first-ever consumer-driven definition of financial well-being based on an in-depth analysis of existing literature, expert opinion, and consumer voices (hint: it’s not necessarily related to income).
  *   When and how young people learn financial knowledge, skills, and habits across developmental stages.
  *   Four ways practitioners can help enhance consumer financial well-being.
