The University of Kentucky is hiring a new Financial Wellness Specialist to help serve as the first step in launching UK's Student Financial Wellness Center.
Student financial wellness and education has been recognized as an important part of the university's 2015-2020 Strategic Plan in aiding "Undergraduate Student Success." The SFWC will reside within the Office of Wellness Initiatives for Student Empowerment (WISE) as a part of the office's holistic student wellness initiatives.
