Hi Freya,

Please add FFLAGS=-fallow-argument-mismatch FCFLAGS=-fallow-argument-mismatch​ to your configure line. This will allow the fortran compiler to accept some legacy function definitions that are needed for MVAPICH2. This is necessary for all GCC versions 10+.

Hi Shineman,

I am downloading this source tarball:
https://mvapich.cse.ohio-state.edu/download/mvapich/mv2/mvapich2-2.3.7-1.tar.gz

then I do:
./configure --prefix=/opt/hamzstlib

then there is an error :
configure: error: The Fortran compiler gfortran will not compile files that call the same routine with arguments of different types.

My gfortran is good I can call it, by typing:
gfortran --version
I get:
GNU Fortran (GCC) 11.2.0

Can you give us some more information about what the build failure was? Can you also tell us a bit about the system you are using to help us debug the issue? MVAPICH2 should be compatible with any Linux based system, however it has several important dependencies. If you are working on an LFS build it is very possible that you are missing one or more of those.
