[mvapich-discuss] Release of MVAPICH2-X-AWS 2.3 for Amazon AWS Cloud

The MVAPICH team is pleased to announce the release of MVAPICH2-X-AWS 2.3.

This version is targeted for Amazon AWS cloud with support for the
Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA).

Features, enhancements and bug fixes for MVAPICH2-X-AWS 2.3 are listed here.

MVAPICH2-X-AWS-2.3 (09/24/2020)

* Features and Enhancements
    - Based on MVAPICH2-X 2.3 GA
    - Improved inter-node latency and bandwidth performance for large messages
    - Optimized collectives
    - Support for dynamic run-time XPMEM module detection
    - Support for currently available basic OS types on AWS EC2 including:
      Amazon Linux 1/2, CentOS 6/7, Ubuntu 16.04/18.04

* Bug Fixes:
    - Fix issues of using UD protocol with medium and large messages
    - Fix issues with mpirun launcher
    - Fix several issues of some collectives for large scales

MVAPICH2-X-AWS-2.3 delivers excellent performance. Sample performance

link).
