My apologies for the confusion.  I meant the latter:

2) Redhat IB stack as present on RHEL-7.4 without adding anything from a 3rd
party (this is not any form of OFED)

To be clear here. When you say "stock OFED" do you refer to:

1) Vanilla OFED from http://downloads.openfabrics.org/OFED/ (this is
OFED)

or:

2) Redhat IB stack as present on RHEL-7.4 without adding anything from a 3rd
party (this is not any form of OFED)
