[mvapich-discuss] Mac OS X installation?

While trying to configure MVAPICH-2.2b on OS X I get the following error:

configure: error: The build OS type is not supported.

Does this mean that OS X builds are completely unsupported, and will not
work?

If so I would greatly appreciate it if there was a clearer section about
system requirements and dependencies in the documentation (quick start
guide and user guide).
