The MVAPICH team is pleased to announce the release of MVAPICH2-EA
(Energy Aware)-2.1 and OSU Energy Monitoring Tool (OEMT)-0.8.

* Features of MVAPICH2-EA 2.1:

  - Based on MVAPICH2 2.1
  - Energy-Efficient support for IB, RoCE and iWARP
  - Energy-Efficient blocking and non-blocking point-to-point
    communication protocols
  - Energy-Efficient collective communication protocols
  - User defined Energy-Performance trade-off levels using tunable overhead
    tolerance parameter
  - Compatible with OSU Energy Monitoring Tool (OEMT-0.8)

* Features of OEMT 0.8:

  - Linux Kernel Module (koemt)
     - Enables reading (no writing) of a subset of MSRs
     - Available only from Intel SandyBridge architectures onward
  - Utility library to measure the energy consumption of MPI applications
     - Agnostic of underlying MPI runtime
     - Reports energy consumption for CPU (PP0), PKG and DRAM
        - Depending on the availability of MSRs in underlying architecture
