Yes. PMI2 with SLURM support for MVAPICH2 and MVAPICH2-X is under development. 
This support will be available in upcoming releases.

Now that Slurm supports PMI2, Open MPI demonstrates much better job
start-up performance with PMI2 for large peer counts than it does with
PMI-1. Are there plans to further develop the PMI2 support in MVAPICH2
and MVAPICH2-X?
