[mvapich-discuss] about MPI_ISend

Hi:

Could you conceptually explain how ISend works internally? for example,  If process i calls a set of MPI_Isend to another process j, but process j didn't call MPI_Recv or MPI_Irecv, will those message from process i to process j actually get sent or not? If they are get sent, where are they buffered in process j? Is this same across different implementation of MPI?
