[mvapich-discuss] During intra-node pingpong test, why bandwidth lowers when message size heightens?

When I made a intra-node pingpong test in a SMP with MVAPICH2 1.0.3 and NetPipe, I found that the bandwidth lowers when messagesize heightens.
Why? Hope to get an answer.
