On another note, I'm testing with ScaliMPI v5.2 and all seems good.  The
OSU and HPL tests seem to run okay.  I'm still testing, though...

may be able to offer us access to some of those systems. If this is 
possible, please let me know of access information and we'll try to nail

this problem down as soon as possible.
