<p><strong>Stephen C. Soong Translation Studies Memorial Awards (2014–2015)</strong><br />

<p><em>Introduction</em><br />
Stephen C. Soong (1919–1996) was a prolific writer and translator as well as an active figure<br />
in the promotion of translation education and research. To commemorate his contributions in<br />
this field, the Stephen C. Soong Translation Studies Memorial Awards were set up in 1997 by<br />
the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a donation<br />
from the Soong family. They give recognition to academics who have made contributions to<br />
original research in Chinese Translation Studies, particularly in the use of first-hand sources<br />
for historical and cultural investigations.</p>
<p><em>Entry and Nomination</em><br />
RCT invites Chinese scholars or research students in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan,<br />
Macau or overseas regions to participate in the 17th Stephen C. Soong Translation Studies<br />
Memorial Awards (2014–2015). General regulations are as follows:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1. All Chinese scholars or research students affiliated to higher education/research<br />
institutes in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau or overseas regions are<br />
eligible to apply.<br />
2. Submitted articles must be written in either Chinese or English and published in a<br />
refereed journal within the calendar year 2014. Each candidate can enter up to two<br />
articles for the Awards. The publication date, title, and volume/number of the journal<br />
in which the article(s) appeared must be provided.<br />
3. Up to three articles are selected as winners each year. A certificate and a cheque of<br />
HK$3,000 will be awarded to each winning entry.<br />
4. The adjudication committee, which consists of renowned scholars in Translation<br />
Studies from Greater China, will meet in June 2015. The results will be announced in<br />
July 2015 and winners will be notified individually.<br />
5. Articles submitted will not be returned to the candidates.</p>
<p><em>Submission</em><br />
Applications and nominations for Stephen C. Soong Translation Studies Memorial Awards<br />
(2014–2015) are now open. Entries can be made by email attachment or by post (postmarked<br />
on or before the deadline). For email submission, please attach a scanned PDF version of the<br />
published article. For postal submission, please provide the original or a photocopy of the<br />
journal entry.</p>

<p><strong>宋淇翻譯研究論文紀念獎（2014–2015）</strong><br />
<strong> 徵文通知</strong></p>
<p>緣起<br />
宋淇先生（1919–1996）生前著譯豐碩，並不遺餘力推動翻譯教學與研究工作。<br />
為紀念宋淇先生對翻譯事業的貢獻，宋氏家族於 1997 年捐款，由香港中文大學<br />
中國文化研究所翻譯研究中心設立「宋淇翻譯研究論文紀念獎」，獎勵海內外<br />
華人學者從事具有原創性的翻譯研究，尤其鼓勵以第一手材料從事文化與歷史<br />
方向的探討。</p>
<p>徵文及提名</p>
<p>香港中文大學翻譯研究中心現誠邀中國大陸、香港、澳門、臺灣地區及海外華<br />
人學者、研究生參選 2014–2015 年度第十七屆「宋淇翻譯研究論文紀念獎」，<br />
亦歡迎學者向本中心提名推薦高水準的翻譯研究論文。論文獎參選細則如下：</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">1. 中國大陸、港、澳、臺地區以及海外華人學者、研究生均可參選。<br />
2. 參選論文以中、英文語言為限，必須在 2014 年內公開發表於正式的學術<br />
刊物。每位參選者最多可遞交兩篇論文，請在參選論文的顯要位置標明所<br />
載刊物名稱及發表時間與卷號。<br />
3. 論文獎每年頒發一次，每次設獎額 3 名，不分等級，每位得獎者將獲頒獎<br />
勵證書及獎金港幣 3,000 元。<br />
4. 論文獎評審委員會由中國大陸、港、澳、臺地區從事翻譯研究的知名學者<br />
組成；評審委員會於 2015 年 6 月進行最後的評審工作，評審結果將於 7<br />
月公開宣佈，每位得獎者將收到評審委員會的書面通知。<br />
5. 參選論文恕不退稿。</p>
<p>申請程序<br />
參選者請於 2015 年 4 月 30 日前以電郵或郵寄方式（以郵戳為準）將參選論文<br />
送交香港中文大學翻譯研究中心。以電郵送交論文的參選者，請掃描已發表在<br />
刊物上的論文，以 pdf 檔案附件形式傳送；郵寄送交論文的參選者，請提供已發<br />
表的論文原件或複印件。<br />
提名推薦翻譯研究論文者，請把所推薦的論文作者、題目、刊物名稱及刊登卷<br />
號電郵至本中心。<br />
