<a href="http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/907758.shtml">CCTV’s annual Spring Festival Gala to stream online exclusively on iQiyi</a></p>
<p>One of the most important galas in China, CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala will broadcast online exclusively on Chinese streaming website <a href="http://www.iqiyi.com/">iQiyi</a>, according to a press conference held by China Central Television (CCTV) and iQiyi on February 11.</p>
<p>This is the first time that CCTV has cooperated with a streaming site in the gala’s 30-year history.</p>
<p>“CCTV choose us because of our streaming content and wide coverage among users,” said Ma Dong, chief content officer at iQiyi.</p>
<p>“This also marks CCTV’s first attempt to broadcast globally through TV and streaming platforms.”</p>
<p>Not only will the gala appear on iQiyi, a series of self-produced videos about the gala will also be available online.</p>
