<p><b>National Taiwan University Graduate Program in Translation and Interpretation Job Announcement (Deadline Extended)</b></p>
<p>The Graduate Program in Translation and Interpretation (GPTI) at National Taiwan University (NTU) announces 1 full-time Chinese-English Interpreting faculty position. Initial appointment will begin on August 1, 2015.</p>
<p><b><i>I. General requirements</i></b>: Except as otherwise specified, minimum requirements include a PhD in a relevant field and a strong publication record. All full-time faculty members are required to teach courses in both the graduate and undergraduate T&I programs and are obliged to direct theses, mentor students, and serve on various university and program committees.</p>
<p><b><i>II. Openings:</i></b></p>
<p><b>Track </b>— Interpreting: 1 full-time position Additional requirements:</p>

<li>Teaching and research expertise in interpreting</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in</li>
<li>Chinese-English/English-Chinese conference interpreting Specialties sought:</li>

<p><b><i>III. Salary and Rank: </i></b>commensurate with qualifications. Initial salary per month ranges from approximately 69,000NTD (ca. 2,400USD; subject to exchange rates) for assistant professors to 90,000 (ca. 3,100USD) for full professors with a regular teaching load (9 hours per week for assistant and associate professors, 8 for full professors)<i>, </i>with additional remuneration for additional teaching hours and certain administrative assignments. Other benefits include (family) health insurance, research grants and awards (on a competitive basis), and university housing (subject to availability).</p>
