clinics to inform patients about Breast Arterial Calcification findings on their mammogram. Very similar to the breast density notifications currently in place. The rationale for this being that these specific types of calcifications could be an indicator
of increased cardiovascular risk. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Mostly sharing this for awareness, in case this idea catches on in other states. If it does, maybe one potential avenue for the physics community to get involved with all this would be to develop a formal quantitative method for doing arterial
calcium scoring in mammography. <o:p></o:p></p>
