learned a lot from him and have the utmost respect for Joel. I had the privilege of working with him and others regarding the safe use of handheld dental X-ray units, which was quite interesting and fun. If still on the virtual library, while dated, he gave
a fantastic presentation on image quality and patient doses back in the mid 2000's I believe. I encourage others who may not have come across it to watch it to see or be reminded of his impact on the medical physics community. When I was a resident back in
2010-2011, I was introduced to his QC book, which was a phenomenal resource for me and every so often, funny enough, I do see myself browsing from time to time. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Joel Grey’s daughter Kiersten just let me know that Joel passed on April 23. As his health declined he moved nearer to her and had been in hospice. He wanted no funeral services. I asked her to share an obituary,
if one were posted.<br>

Joel was a force in our profession for decades, a mentor to me and many others, and we became good friends. We traveled in Europe with Joel’s companion, now also deceased, and my wife Mabelle.
