[IMUG-L] problems loading files for Classical Music Library

Greetings-

I've just discovered a problem loading supplemental files from Alexander Street for Music Online: Classical Music Library. Last summer, I loaded the base file (through supplement 13), and all went well. Since then, I've loaded supplements 14 and 15. I started to load supplement 16 last week and noticed a problem: the records were being accepted, but III identified an error in the 001 field, so it wasn't included as part of the load. This means we have bibs from supplements 14 and 15 in our catalog lacking control numbers ... not a good thing!

To complicate things, we use MarcEdit to make a handful of changes before bringing these bibs into Sierra. There's no problem doing this with the base file (thru suppl. 13). However, the edited versions of these supplementary files are the ones with the 001 error. When I test load the unedited supplement files from Alexander Street, they go into Sierra with the 001 intact. I'd rather not have to make all the edits to these records once they're in Sierra, but that's the only solution I have so far.

Have any of you-or folks who load these bibs at your institutions-loaded these recent CML supplements? If so, I'd appreciate hearing if you've had similar problems.

Thanks,
David-
