Hi, all -

It's been an eventful week. Plan A fell through, but Plan B is all set and I think will be more to our advantage after all.

Some of you will remember that years ago we used to get Product Managers to come to our meetings. Well, this year that model will be revived, though in a new format. We are going to have a video meeting with Innovative staff. There will be a video feed so that we can both see and hear them. Microphones will allow them to hear us, though they won't be able to see us (2-way video was prohibitively expensive). Innovative has been in communication with the hotel staff, who will be handling the tech aspects of the meeting for us. And Innovative is paying the costs.

It won't be quite the same as having a real live person from the company there in the room, though getting a chance to hear from and talk with people who really know the innards of the product will be a considerable improvement over the times we have had salespeople or customer relations people who don't necessarily know tremendous amounts about the system.

Have your questions in mind. Also, send me any questions you want considered ahead of time. So far I have had questions about BIBFRAME and about III's handling of the newer MARC fields (33x, 34x, 38x, etc.) we're using in RDA.
