The old "official" romanization, as attested in my 1998 ES (ha-Milon
ha-Ivri ha-merukaz) is aharayut. This evidently one of the ayin
het and ayin ayin roots in permutations that had their vocalizations
changed to accommodate Israeli linguistic stylings. <br>

My 2 cents: 245 use ahrayut since this is the new "official" form
endorsed by our standard reference<br>
246 account for the old form if the spirit moves
