<br></div><div>Department of Geography, Environment and Society</div><div>University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.</div><div><br></div><div>We seek a Geographic Information Scientist who contributes to traditional departmental strengths in geovisualization and cartography, spatial analysis and modeling, and/or GIS and society. Desirable but not required are secondary research interests in computation on large datasets or examining population and health issues via spatial science approaches. </div>
<div><br></div><div>The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a strong program of research and publication; external research support; undergraduate and graduate instruction and advising; and service to the department, college, University, and profession appropriate for the rank of appointment. </div>
<div><br></div><div>This is a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor. This is a 100%-time position over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May), beginning spring semester 2015 (01/08/2015) or fall semester 2015 (08/31/2015).
