FWIW- if you heard Elo-Hanna's talk yesterday afternoon, you learned that "transferable skills" are also a mantra in Estonia!

Hi Dorry,

There is still time for your grad students and postdocs to register for Friday’s workshop. The event is geared toward terminal degree students and postdocs in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences. I’d be grateful if you would share the following with your students. Of course, please do reach out with questions!

Cheers,

Addie

Not sure how to begin your career exploration while juggling grad school?

You're not alone.

The good news is that graduate career professionals have identified a tool that has proven effective time and again in helping graduate students navigate their educational and career journeys.

It's called an Individual Development Plan or an IDP.

In Friday’s (10/21, 12-1:30pm) workshop Navigating your PhD with an Individual Development Plan, attendees will reflect on their strengths, interests, and values to arrive at a plan that will help them map a course of action for your academic and professional goals.

This is a virtual interactive workshop geared toward terminal degree students and postdocs in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences though it will also have relevance for masters-level students as well. The workshop will be led by Pallavi Eswara, a seasoned professional in graduate student career development.

You are also invited to join us on Nov 4 from 12-1:30pm to learn about identifying and communicating the many transferable skills you are developing through your graduate studies. Click here to register/learn more about Transferable Skills: Identifying and Leveraging Them for Career Success, another virtual workshop: https://osu.joinhandshake.com/edu/events/1097992. This event is also geared toward terminal degree students and postdocs in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences.
