[ElectronicsClub] Soldering Workshops and More Info

Hi everyone!

I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me — with Makeathon and then spring break, the officers and I have been pretty busy. However, we’re back, and have a few more events for the end of the semester.

The first soldering workshop will be a joint effort between RF Club and Electronics Club, and will be centered around the FM transmitter build we did earlier in the semester (with better components!). More information below! There are 20 available kits, so if more people sign up, then you may be asked to work with a partner. Be sure to RSVP with the link provided!

Our second soldering workshop will be focused on surface mount soldering—a great skill that is seldom taught in schools, so take advantage! We will be working with nixie tubes to make a clock. The event will take place next Saturday, April 7th. Look out for more details in the coming days.

Finally, our last workshop of the semester will be on April 18th. We will be doing an intro to PCB design with Eagle. This is another incredibly valuable skill that often is self-taught, or required at higher class levels. Once again, look out for more information through email in the coming weeks.
