Hello members,

We are hosting our Circuit Board Design workshop this Wednesday using CadSoft's Eagle software. Also, HackOHI/O is still in need of volunteers for this weekend! The hours volunteered are eligible for Engineers' Council sponsorship which can be used to raise money for the club. Check out go.osu.edu/volunteerHackOHIO<http://go.osu.edu/volunteerHackOHIO> to sign up and please contact me (hensal.7 at osu.edu) with any questions.

Circuit Board Design with Eagle

Have you ever wanted to take a messy breadboard or perfboard to the next level: a professional-looking printed circuit board? Have you wondered how we created the Soldering Workshop boards? Dale Mitchell will be giving an introduction to CadSoft EAGLE, a computer program for creating PCB layouts and how to send designs to a board house for fabrication. Come with a laptop and EAGLE installed, which can be downloaded here<https://cadsoft.io/>.

What: Circuit Board Design with Eagle
When: Wednesday 11/16 @ 7pm
Where: Scott E0040
Bring: a laptop with Eagle<https://cadsoft.io/> installed on it
Pizza? Of course!

There is also a tech talk this Friday held by Microsoft where they will discuss some of their technologies. See the details below for more information.

Wake-up and Shine: Tech Talk with Microsoft
With HackOH/IO coming up, you may be looking for an idea to work on. Luckily, you can come join two Microsoft employees as they give a talk on some of the Microsoft technologies they are familiar with. You could potentially be inspired with some ideas for the hackathon! The presentation will be followed by some discussion of Q&A. Even if you aren't going to the hackathon, this is a great opportunity to learn about Microsoft tech and explore a potential career with Microsoft!
Donuts and coffee will be provided!
Locations: Baker Systems, Rm. 394
Date: Friday, Nov. 18th
Time: 9:30am - 10:30am

I hope to see everyone this Wednesday!

Sincerely,

Jeff Hensal
