We hope the semester has started off great! There are just a few things to note this week.

Makeathon 2016
If you are excited for this year's 24-hour hardware hackathon, you won't have to wait much longer to register! The second-ever Makeathon will be held the weekend of March 5th at Knowlton Hall. There are going to be plenty of free food, sponsors, swag and prizes so stay tuned.

Meeting Notice
The Electronics Club will be meeting next week on Wednesday, January 27th. It will again be at 7pm. The topic will be Intro to Hobbyist Electronics and will be a refresher and continuation of last semester's workshop. More details to follow this weekend.

IEEE Winter Banquet

Our friends over at IEEE are having a banquet. This is a reminder / promotion of the IEEE winter banquet<https://ece.osu.edu/news/2015/11/save-date-ieee-undergraduate-winter-banquet>.

It is coming up soon: January 30th from 7-10pm

It is a formal dinner at the Ohio Union with students, company representatives, and an IEEE Fellow speaker.



Tickets are only $5, but RSVP is required by this Friday.

You can RSVP in person at the IEEE meeting tomorrow in DL260 from 6-7pm.  Alternatively, please email Mary Scherer (scherer.123 at osu.edu<mailto:scherer.123 at osu.edu>) by Friday to reserve your seat.
