[Drupal] Seeking a good events module

Thank you Vedu.  I just mentioned to another user that those were old messages I placed in the system about a month ago.  Someone finally authorized me as a Drupal list member and all the messages started flooding the system.  I have since found a solution.  Thank you for you reply.

I have used Calendar module for this with views that show me 1, 3 and 4.  (2) sort of automatically happens when 1 and 3 happen.  Check this out : http://drupalize.me/series/calendars-drupal-7

Subject: [Drupal] Seeking a good events module

Hey Drupal experts!  I am seeking an Events Module for Drupal 7 which does the following:


1.)    Publishes upcoming events w/ details

2.)    Auto hides an event when the date has passed

3.)    Archives old events for viewing

4.)    Sorts events by taxonomy or category (in upcoming events and archived events)

Any thoughts?  Is it better for me to find a module or for me to build this from scratch?
