<p>Chemistry and Biochemistry Club is back for spring semester, and we have A TON of exciting stuff planned for this spring. There is a lot of information in this email, so I will be sure to send some reminders over the next couple of weeks. Our programs for
the first several weeks looks as follows:</p>

<li>Thursday, January 19: Welcome Back with Chemistry Bingo and PIZZA<br>
</li><li>Thursday, January 26: Tour of the Unit Ops Lab (the cool bubbling thing in CBEC!)<br>
</li><li>Thursday, February 2: Visit from Dr. James Fuchs, professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy at OSU (bio here:

<p>As always, our meetings will be at <b><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">CBEC 267 at 6:30pm</span></b> unless otherwise noted, and they will feature<b><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"> FREE PIZZA</span></b>. More information will come about these events
as they get closer, but this is the big picture. We are looking to have a speaker series as well with about one professor per month, giving talks about chemistry at the undergraduate level. Additionally,
<b><span style="color: rgb(189, 19, 152);">please save the date for February 18th</span></b>, as we are partnering with the
<b><span style="color: rgb(189, 19, 152);">American </span><span style="color: rgb(189, 19, 152);">Chemical Society
</span></b>to host a <b><span style="color: rgb(189, 19, 152);">Chemistry Career Day at OSU</span></b>. Students from several universities around central Ohio will be coming to hear from various chemists and biochemists about careers in chemistry, mentorship
opportunities, and much more. More information on this as it gets closer as well.<br>

<p>Furthermore, we have partnered with a couple of organizations over the break, and we have some
<b><span style="color: rgb(75, 165, 36);">cool, science-related service opportunities</span></b> to share with you:<br>

- We will be partnering with <b><span style="color: rgb(75, 165, 36);">College Mentors for Kids</span></b> on the afternoon of
<b><span style="color: rgb(75, 165, 36);">March 22nd</span></b>. College Mentors for Kids is an after-school program which looks to excite 1st-4th grade students about going to college, so we are going to put on some chemistry demos for them. More information
to come, but we need about 10 volunteers to make this program a success. If you are able to volunteer,

- The State Director for Science Olympiad has reached out to us to solicit <b><span style="color: rgb(75, 165, 36);">student volunteers for the Science Olympiad State Tournament on Saturday, April 1</span></b>. Science Olympiad is a national program dedicated
to improving the interest of all students in the ever-changing world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge by participating in competitions that are similar
to an academic track meet. These competitions consist of a series of 23 team events for both middle and high school students. As a student volunteer, you have to be able to serve up to 6 consecutive hours, but you may choose to volunteer for the entire duration
of the tournament. Tasks may include but are not limited to building host, grading, measuring, registration assistance, set-up, and clean up. <span><b><span style="color: rgb(114, 50, 173);">Volunteer Registration Form</span></b></span><b></b>:
