We are <b>NOT</b> doing on-line homework. However, I asked Sapling
Learning<br>
to set something up for 1250 using the problems from my 1210 and
1220<br>
classes. There is a charge, $30 for the whole semester. There is
a 14-day<br>
grace period where you can try it out. That usually runs from the
start of the<br>
term. I know $40 sounds like a lot but spread out over 14 weeks
it's only<br>
$2.86 per week. You are NOT required to do this. It is voluntary.
<br>
<br>
Honestly, if you're doing things the proper way (see my "Study
Methods"<br>
link), doing at a minimum the homework I've assigned (you really
need to<br>
do more if you hope to do well), not falling behind and then doing
some<br>
problems more than once (you need to do things more than once in
order<br>
to learn it well long term) I don't think you would need this.<br>
<br>
On the other hand, if you didn't do well on the assessment quiz (6
or less)<br>
you may need help catching up and this could provide help.<br>
<br>
Using SL is NOT a replacement for the end-of-chapter assigned
homework.<br>
You have to do the EOC problems. The SL is meant as a tool to use
if you<br>
feel you need some extra guidance and perhaps you could try this if
you feel<br>
you need help/tutoring.<br>
<br>
Even so, if you are having trouble understanding the material
(textbook, lecture,<br>
lab, etc.) please stop by my office. If I'm not there try the help
room in 170 Celeste.<br>
