</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">than what you may have had to do for most of your other classes,<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">even 1210. Please read the material in the above links and pay

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">close attention to what is stated there and in my original e-mail. Due<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">to the speed of the class you may actually have to put in about 24-30</span><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><br>
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">hours outside of class for the lecture material. Also, don't forget</span><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><br>
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">you will need to spend 6-8 hours for lab prep and lab associated<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">activities. This is a lot of time but remember, we’re essentially<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">covering two weeks of material every week. This is just an<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">estimate and you should plan for it. It may not take this much<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">difference for many people. Even if you did well in high school<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">chemistry, or even 1210, this course is very different in terms of<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">the depth of understanding expected. Students often tell me<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">afterwards it helped them in terms of time management and<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">overall reduces the time they have to spend and still learn the<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">material. Some students will spend 25 or more hours per week<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">in a normal semester and still not do well because they don't work<o:p></o:p></span></p>
