Just learned of an online talk being given this afternoon by Steven Piantadosi (UC Berkeley) arguing that domain-general program-learning models rapidly discover deep properties of natural language syntax (e.g. context-freeness) from positive evidence alone: https://aovivo.abralin.org/lives/steven-piantadosi/.
